Frequently asked questions
What does this checker show?

Certificate validity dates, issuer (CA), subject/domain names, certificate chain status, TLS protocol version, and days until expiry.

Why does my SSL certificate show as expired?

SSL certificates have limited validity (typically 90 days for Let's Encrypt, 1-2 years for commercial CAs). They must be renewed regularly.

What is an SSL chain error?

A chain error occurs when intermediate CA certificates are missing or incorrectly installed. Browsers can't verify the certificate's trust path, causing security warnings.
