DNS Lookup Online
Use this free online DNS Lookup tool to query domain name servers using Cloudflare DoH APIs safely.
How it works & FAQ
Why this is secure?
DNS queries are made via DNS over HTTPS (DoH) using Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 or Google's 8.8.8.8 resolver. Queries are encrypted — no unencrypted DNS data is exposed.
Step-by-Step Guide
- 1Enter the domain name you want to look up (e.g. example.com).
- 2Select the DNS record type: A, AAAA, MX, TXT, CNAME, NS, or SOA.
- 3Click 'Look Up' to fetch the live DNS records via DNS over HTTPS.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What record types are supported?
A (IPv4 address), AAAA (IPv6), MX (mail server), TXT (verification, SPF, DKIM), CNAME (alias), NS (nameservers), and SOA (start of authority).
Why does the result differ from what I expected?
DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours after a change. Different resolvers may return different cached results during propagation.
What is DNS over HTTPS (DoH)?
DoH encrypts DNS queries using HTTPS instead of plain UDP — preventing ISPs and eavesdroppers from seeing which domains you're looking up.
DNS queries use encrypted DNS over HTTPS. The domain you look up is sent only to the DoH resolver (Cloudflare or Google).
